Robert Sweet was an American jurist and United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Sweet was assigned to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking lawsuit and the lenient plea deal he received.
Sweet also approved the sealing of the Epstein case files, which included arguments and evidence if the case went to trial. Sweet passed away at the ripe age of 96. Now the court is set to unseal 2,000 Epstein documents.
